Librarian: Liora Morvenae

Sometimes, before particularly taxing psychic power use, Centurion Morvenae can be heard to say “Fiat voluntas necessitatis.” (Let the will of necessity be done.) It isn’t a prayer. It’s not even really a mantra. Those who’ve served beside her long enough know it’s more of a warning—to herself as much as others. A signal that the limits are about to be tested, that the cost may be more than the warp is willing to give gently. She never raises her voice when she says it. The words are quiet, resigned, like the sound of a door closing. But every time she speaks them, something happens. Something survives. And something else doesn’t.
